It’s 6:29 AM on the weekend and the first thing I think to do while I can is mess with my Tumblr. I imagine this is how my summer will be spent.
Okay, it might just be me, but I hate when they refer to Peeta and Katniss’ relationship as “Peeniss.” It sounds like the obvious thing. I don’t know why it’s out there but it’s pretty common. But me, I use “Katta.”
Just saying. People have their preferences.
I feel myself slowly starting to sink into the fire that is the Hunger Games fandom. I’ve been scrolling through its tag, getting hit in the face with many massive spoilers that completely ruin the books for me. But it’s just a bigger reason for me to buy the other two books, seeing as I’ve only read the first. I’ve never read a book that was as “graphic” as the first book. I say graphic ‘cuz there was killing and describing the killing. Wow. But I’m glad. I won’t just belong to one fandom now.
Congratulations, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Fandom, you have a new brother. Welcome to the Hunger Games.
Yesterday, Leap Day, was my 4 Year Anniversary with my boyfriend. It was the happiest day of my life. We actually got to spend time together, something we aren’t even allowed to do. I visited his house after school and baked cookies with him. We ate together and looked through pictures. Nothing more. It made me smile that all we needed was a quiet day with each other.
I love how people are always surprised when they find out I’ve been with him for so long. People at my school always expect me to have been pregnant by now or expect us to be bored of each other and break up. But all I do is shake my head at these shallow-minded people and say nothing. And I think about how they think it’s weird that their relationships never last long. How they’ll never find “the right one.”
Our relationship isn’t even as long as others are. Even so, I find that ours really withstood the test of time, if I may. I asked him out on February 29, 2008. We were new to the mainstream ideas of dating but still loved each other all the same. I actually didn’t know we would make it together this far. 4 years is a long time, after all. And still going, of course.
The only problem is, I don’t know if this is our 4 year anniversary, or our 1 year anniversary. Leap Years are so confusing.
